Turner Movie Classics will remember Oscar-winning legend Billy Wilder Noun 1. Billy Wilder - United States filmmaker (born in Austria) whose dark humor infused many of the films he made (1906-2002)

, who died in Beverly Hills last Wednesday, with an 11-film retrospective Wednesday and Thursday nights. Most of the movies air in the middle of the night, so fire up your TiVos and VCRs.

The schedule:

Wednesday 8 p.m.: ``Some Like It Hot,'' the classic cross-dressing comedy with Jack Lemmon, Marilyn Monroe and Tony Curtis. 10:15 p.m.: ``The Apartment,'' 1960's Oscar winner for best picture, a black comedy about office and sexual politics starring Jack Lemmon, Shirley MacLaine and Fred MacMurray.

Thursday 12:30 a.m.: ``The Lost Weekend,'' Ray Milland's Oscar-winning wallow wallow
