THE LOS ANGELES Lakers have gained a reputation for being fashion- forward, but tonight they go back to their roots, to the '50s, when the team was known as the Minneapolis Lakers.

As a special tribute to the team's legendary players, Shaquille O'Neal and his teammates will wear retro uniforms for their home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The blue-and-gold road jerseys featuring ``MPLS'' across the chest were manufactured by Nike and you can buy the shirt off your favorite player's back at a special auction on NBA.com to benefit the Los Angeles Lakers Youth Foundation. Or, buy a new, clean jersey in your size for $60 at the Staples Center.

Double your cutness, double your fun

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen - the twins who first won our hearts on TV's ``Full House'' - have grown into a billion-dollar business machine. First it was the movies, the dolls, the clothing and accessories. Now it's the launch of the mary-kateandashley cosmetics and hair-care products available only at WalMart stores.

Among the products are metallic lip color and matching eye and nail color, as well as novelties such as sparkle lip gloss and body sprays for tweens and teens, priced at $1.94 to $3.94 each. There's even the same sculpting texturizer and curling irons that the twins use for their carefree tousled look. The products are made by Dualstar and Nu World, but according to Mary-Kate, she and her sister guided the development.

What's next for the twins? Home decor items at WalMart and a new feature film from Warner Bros. in which they'll be wearing their own fashion designs.
