TULTEX CORPORATION ELECTS DIRECTORS AND OFFICERS

 MARTINSVILLE, Va., March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Shareholders of Tultex Corporation (NYSE: TTX), at their annual meeting today, elected the following to serve on the company's board of directors until the 1994 annual shareholders meeting: Charles W. Davies Jr.; Lathan M. Ewers Jr.; John M. Franck; William F. Franck; J. Burness Frith; Irving M. Groves Jr.; H. Richard Hunnicutt Jr.; Bruce M. Jacobson; Richard M. Simmons Jr.; and John M. Tully.
 Immediately following the shareholders meeting, the board of directors elected the following corporate officers to serve until the 1994 meeting of shareholders: William F. Franck, chairman emeritus; John M. Franck, chairman and chief executive officer; Charles W. Davies Jr., president and chief operating officer; John J. Smith, vice president-customer service; Walter J. Caruba, vice president- marketing; B. Alvin Ratliff, vice president-operations; William C. Cole III, vice president-human resources; Don P. Shook, vice president-finance and administration; Jeffrey M. Boruvka, controller; James M. Baker, secretary-treasurer; Frances S. Beam, assistant secretary; and William T. Moore, assistant treasurer.
 Tultex, a vertically integrated manufacturer and marketer of activewear and licensed sports apparel, sells many of its products under the Tultex, Discus Athletic, Logo Athletic, Brittania, and Logo 7 brand names. The company operates plants in Virginia, North Carolina, Indianapolis, Massachusetts and Jamaica.
