TTC today announced the FIREBERD 6000 High Speed TTL Interface in response to market requirements for data emulation at higher rates.

Equipment manufacturers and research-and-development companies will benefit from this low-cost solution for test engineering and equipment production.

Equipment manufacturers of wireless and cable modems will appreciate the instrument's price of U.S.$4,495 (TTL interface only) which makes it well suited to production and R&D applications. The interface effectively addresses a void in the market as current TTL BERT solutions offer unneeded capability for a much higher price.

TTC's FIREBERD 6000 High Speed TTL Interface allows synchronous BERT testing at speeds up to 52 Mbps. Connections are made through BNC connectors for transmit timing, transmit data, receive timing and receive data.

This physical layer analyzer is designed to generate digital traffic with fixed or pseudorandom patterns and perform standard bit error test measurements. It can validate digital data integrity, regardless of framing protocol, for data-sensitive applications that ride on RF or optical backbones.

Available immediately, the FIREBERD 6000 High Speed TTL Interface is sold separately or packaged with the FIREBERD 6000 Communications Analyzer for U.S.$13,370.
