The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  agreement enabling TIBCO to resell the Mercator(R) product suite. As part of the alliance, TSI Software is providing off-the-shelf integration of TIBCO's leading messaging middleware product, TIB See NIST binary. (R)/Rendezvous(TM), with TSI's Mercator. The technology alliance between TSI and TIBCO, leaders in enterprise application integration, will enable customers to seamlessly integrate applications within enterprise-wide, mission-critical environments.
