: TRW) today named Don Andres, as vice president and program manager of a TRW-led team formed to pursue the U.S. Air Force Space Command Integrated Space Command and Control Program (ISC (1) (Internet Systems Consortium, Redwood City, CA www.isc.org) An organization founded by Paul Vixie, Carl Malamud and Rick Adams in 1994 and later sponsored by UUNET and other Internet companies. 2).

The Air Force expects to release the ISC2 Request for Proposal later this month with responses due back within 30 days.

 Aerospace Defense Command/U.S. Space Command air, space, and missile warning systems into a single, flexible, architecture and will easily accommodate the addition of future missions to provide the military with a common global battlefield picture based on shared, real-time data.

Andres has been with TRW for 27 years where he has held several key management positions within its space and missile systems business. Before assuming his role on ISC2, Andres was the deputy general manager for TRW's Space & Missile Systems Strategic Business Unit. This unit performs missile engineering; missile defense; systems engineering & integration (SE&I); command, control, and communication (C3) development; and simulation & modeling for Air Force and Joint missions.

As deputy director for TRW's Air Force/Civil Business Unit, Andres was responsible for program performance and business acquisition for TRW's C3 systems, ground stations for space systems, SE&I, simulation and training, and system modernization efforts for Air Force and Civil Space programs.

In the early 1990s Andres served as program manager for the Command Center Processing and Display System Replacement (CCPDS-R CCPDS-R Command Center Processing & Display System Replacement ) system, a key element of the Air Force's upgrade of Cheyenne Mountain. A critical missile warning communications system built by TRW, CCPDS-R was designed to receive, process and display real-time ballistic missile tactical warning and attack assessment A composite term. Andres executed the program within cost/schedule goals while exceeding technical performance goals. Andres graduated with a B.S. in mathematics in 1968 from Syracuse University and earned a master's in computer science from Purdue University in 1969.
