 (EHF) and very low frequency and low frequency (VLF/LF) communication capability into the 50 operational Minuteman Launch Control Centers (LCC's) at Wing I Malstrom Air Force Base (20 sites), Wing II Minot Air Force Base Minot Air Force Base (Minot AFB) (IATA: MIB, ICAO: KMIB) is a base of the United States Air Force in Ward County, North Dakota, 15 km (8 mi) north of the city of Minot. As the newest link in the MEECN, this effort provides LLCs with the ability to receive emergency action messages in the EHF and VLF and LF spectra and send force report back messages over EHF. For the Minuteman LLC, this includes integration into the higher authority communications rapid message processor element processor, missile procedure trainers and minuteman enhanced procedures, as well as five development and maintenance systems, will be modified to reflect changes to the intercontinental ballistic missile intercontinental ballistic missile: see guided missile.  system. At this time, $46,387,003.02 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be completed by December 2005. Solicitation began in September 2001. The Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42610-98-C-0001).
