PALMDALE -- Palmdale School District The Palmdale School District is a school district that serves a major part of the city of Palmdale, California (USA).

 Democratic activist Marie McClintock are the recipients of the Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  County Democratic Party's highest honor, the Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt Democrat of the Year Award.

The award, presented annually to a male and female Democrat from each Assembly district in Los Angeles County, recognizes Democrats who have made outstanding contributions to the party.

``Bo and Marie have the hearts and souls of true Democrats,'' said Bob Forshay, delegation chairman to the party's county Central Committee. ``They have a passion for inclusiveness, for all Americans being allowed to sit at the table and partake in Verb 1. partake in - be active in

This year, the ceremony took place at the Hollywood Palladium The Hollywood Palladium is a theater located at 6215 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, California. The facility, built in an Art Deco style, includes an 11,200 square foot (1040 m²) dance floor with room for up to 4,000 people.  in Hollywood and was attended by hundreds of activists and party officials.

Bynum, the Democratic candidate for the state Assembly seat representing the Antelope Valley, said he was grateful.

``I feel very humbled that the work I have been doing as a Democrat has been recognized and honored. I'm very appreciative and look forward to continuing to serve my community and my party,'' he stated.

McClintock was also grateful.

``I was born a Democrat. I love my party and believe in Democrats and what we stand for. I feel the Democratic Party shares my commitment to the issues I'm passionate about. I'm honored to have received this award, and I will continue to serve the Democratic Party, its candidates, and promote the values we hold dear,'' she said.

Lynda von Husen, California Democratic Party The California Democratic Party is the local branch of the Democratic Party in the state of California. It is presently chaired by former State Senator Arthur Torres. It is the majority party in both chambers of the state Legislature, i.e. the State Assembly and the Senate.  36th Assembly District vice chairwoman and a past recipient of the award, said Bynum and McClintock have been instrumental in promoting and strengthening the Democratic Party, especially in the Antelope Valley.

``Their energy, passion and commitment inspires and motivates,'' she said.
