CANYON COUNTRY - About 70 homes and businesses lost power for more than 10 hours Wednesday morning after a gravel truck overturned, sending one of the trailers into a power pole power pole

The cause of the 1:30 a.m. incident, which occurred at Furnivall Avenue and Soledad Canyon Soledad Canyon is a long narrow canyon / valley located in Los Angeles County, California between the cities of Palmdale and Santa Clarita. Soledad Canyon contains the localities of Vincent, Acton, Ravenna, and Agua Dulce.  Road, is under investigation.

The unidentified driver of the truck was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, officials said.

A traffic signal at Golden Oak and Soledad Canyon roads remained out and city workers were still cleaning up spilled gravel by midmorning mid·morn·ing

The power outage affected only those customers in the immediate area of the incident, said Tom Boyd, a spokesman for Southern California Edison Southern California Edison (or SCE Corp), the largest subsidiary of Edison International (NYSE: EIX), is the primary electricity supply company for much of Southern California. It provides 11 million people with electricity. .
