The Toledo (Ohio) Mud Hens right-hander allowed eight hits and three earned runs in 17 innings. Single-A Kane County (Ill.) left-hander Bill Murphy William R.W. "Bill" Murphy (born May 9, 1981 in Anaheim, California) is a left-handed Major League Baseball relief pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Murphy attended Arlington High School in Riverside, California.
 (Cal State Northridge) was named Midwest League Co-Pitcher of the Week. Murphy pitched a no-hitter in one start and won his other outing, combining for 14 strikeouts in 16 innings.

--Monday's top performers: J.P. Roberge (St. Francis of La Canada/USC) had two hits for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (Pa.). ...
