TRIBUNE MEDIA SERVICES TO CARRY NEW VIOLENCE RATINGS

 CHICAGO, June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Tribune Media Services, the nation's leading provider of television listings information, will offer the new violence warnings proposed by the four major television networks.
 TMS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tribune Co. (NYSE: TRB), supplies television listings to most of the nation's largest newspapers. Each newspaper chooses the data it wants to include in its listings, and TMS customizes the listings to those specifications.
 "We will make the new violence warnings available to all of the newspapers that use our service," said Barbara S. Needleman, director of database products for TMS.
 Among the newspapers subscribing to TMS TV Listings are the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Tribune, USA Today, the New York Daily News, Newsday and more than 250 other newspapers across the nation.
 TMS also provides listings to new electronic media, such as Apple Online Services.
 Tribune is a leading information and entertainment company. It publishes six daily newspapers, operates seven television and six radio stations, produces and syndicates information and programming, and has an interest in newsprint manufacturing.
