TREE GIVEAWAY PROGRAM TO TAKE ROOT ON WEEKEND.Byline: Daily News To officially kick off Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's Million Trees LA initiative, the city will give away trees at 16 locations from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. Saturday. One tree per household will be given away. Available trees include the coast live oak, California Live Oak is the name of the following places in the U.S. state of California:
sycamore and Chinese flame tree. People who take a tree must sign a pledge to plant the tree. They also must give their address so the city can confirm the planting and be included in the million tree count.
