TRAVEL TO AID LIBRARY FUND SPRING, FALL TRIPS BOOKED.

PALMDALE - To raise money, the Friends of the Palmdale City Library will sponsor two trips in 2003. The group will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the youth library to discuss the trips.

The first, starting May 12, will be a five-day, six-meal airplane trip from Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  to Branson, Mo. The price, including round-trip fare and hotel transportation, will be $1,149 for a person wanting a room alone at the Branson Towers; $999 each for two people per room and $979 per person with triple occupancy. The Friends of the Library will receive 10 percent on each trip to help support the Palmdale libraries.

Eric Shephard of Collette Vacations will show slides about the trips at the meeting Wednesday. Fliers and trip itineraries are available at both Palmdale libraries.
