A 10-day, three-city trip in China is offered by smarTours at $1,299 per person, including air fare, for those booking before May 31.

Cost is per person, double occupancy. Single supplement is $199. The price rises to $1,599 after May 31.

The trip takes visitors to Beijing, Xian and Shanghai and includes excursions to the Great Wall, the Ming Tombs outside Beijing and the terra cotta cot·ta

Catalina getaway: Need a quick getaway? Catalina Island's Pavilion Lodge offers four packages that combine lodging with transportation and recreational activities.

A one-night undersea package includes a tour aboard Catalina's semi-submersible vessel. Cost is $89. The undersea/inland tour is two nights, includes the semi-submersible and a half-day motor tour through the secluded interior portion of the island. Cost is $147. One- and two-night golf packages are also available, featuring nine holes of golf with clubs and a cart. Cost ranges from $107 to $139. A two-night kayak package includes the undersea tour and a guided kayak trip. Cost is $160.

Florida on the cheap: Summerfield Suites In June 2005 the Blackstone Group acquired Wyndham International for $3.2 billion. Summerfield Suites, Wyndham’s extended stay offering, was included in the deal. On December 1st 2005 Global Hyatt confirmed that it had entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the  Hotels and Value Rent-A-Car in Orlando, Fla., have banded together to offer accommodations and a rental car for $139 per night.
