Orcas Island Orcas Island is the largest of the San Juan Islands, which are located in the northwestern corner of Washington state in San Juan County, Washington. Orcas Island is one of four stops on the inter-island Washington State Ferry route serving the San Juans. : Rosario Resort on Washington's Orcas Island is offering an Endless Summer Weekend through Sept. 27 that includes accommodations and several special meals.

Wildlife watching: Wildlife watchers can take advantage of the Oceanic Society Farallon Islands The Farallon Islands are a group of islands and rocks found in the Gulf of the Farallones, off the coast of San Francisco, California, USA. They lie 27 miles (43 km) outside the Golden Gate, 20 miles (32 km) south of Point Reyes. They are visible from the mainland on clear days.  Nature Cruises offered weekends through November.

Passengers board a Coast Guard vessel at Fort Mason Fort Mason in San Francisco, California is a former U.S. Army post located at the northern Marina District, alongside San Francisco Bay. Aquatic Park is adjacent to the east and the Marina Green is adjacent to the west.  Center, San Francisco, and sail near the Farallon Islands just 27 miles off San Francisco's coast. The islands, now a national wildlife refuge National Wildlife Refuge , form the largest seabird rookery in the contiguous United States. Naturalists help spot whales, dolphins, seals and other wildlife during the eight-hour cruise. Participants should bring binoculars and lunches.
