TRATTORIA MITCHELLI RECOGNIZED BY WASHINGTON SPECIAL OLYMPICS
SEATTLE, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Trattoria Mitchelli announced today it has been named as the 1992 Outstanding Washington Special Olympics Business from Section II.
For the past seven years, Dany Mitchell and his co-workers have organized "Lawyers Take Orders," a fundraising event for Special Olympics. Each September, local attorneys don aprons and "serve" plates of pasta and other Italian dishes to their friends, clients, judges, families and the public. For this one day, these charismatic and smooth-talking lawyers will be pushing for "big tips," which, along with Mitchell's contribution of 15 percent of their total sales, are donated to the Area 4 Special Olympics.
The Seventh Annual "Lawyers Take Orders" was held on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Five attorney's who participated last year returned; three others had been involved in 1990. John Henry Browne recruited about 50 people to sit in his section during the early dinner shift. Browne received just over $1,600 in total tips. Diane Tebelius once again reported a $500 gratuity. The combined gratuities of the 14 lawyers totaled $4,600. With Mitchell's contribution and 15 percent of the day's sales, $5,750 was donated to Seattle Area 4 Special Olympics.
