TRANSTECHNOLOGY DECLARES REGULAR SIX CENTS QUARTERLY DIVIDEND

 UNION, N.J., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- TransTechnology Corporation (NYSE: TT), today announced that its board of directors had declared a regular dividend of 6 cents per share payable on March 1, 1993 to shareholders of record Feb. 15, 1993. The most recent previous dividend was a special dividend of $1.50 per share paid on Dec. 30, 1992. The company which last paid a regular quarterly dividend on June 1, 1990 announced that it intends to resume paying regular quarterly dividends, commencing with this current dividend.
 The company also announced that it had completed the divestiture of its Belfort Instrument division. The company stated that the divestiture would have no impact on current year results, having been fully reserved for in the prior fiscal year.
 Michael J. Berthelot, chairman and chief executive officer of the company, said: "The consummation of the Belfort Instrument sale, and the resumption of regular quarterly dividends, completes our restructuring plan and returns us to a steady course of growing and expanding our businesses."
 TransTechnology Corporation is a diversified manufacturer of industrial and aerospace products with over 850 employees in its seven facilities in the United States and those in England, Belgium, and Australia.
