TRANSFER DAY TO HOST MANY SCHOOLS.

LANCASTER -- People wanting to continue their education at a college, university or technical school will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from more than 40 public and private institutions when Antelope Valley College Antelope Valley College is a comprehensive community college located in Lancaster, California, USA. It is operated by the Antelope Valley Community College District, with a primary service area of 1,945 square miles covering portions of Los Angeles and Kern counties.  hosts its annual Transfer Day.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 4 in the Student Center on the north side of the campus at 30th Street West and Avenue K, Lancaster.

Transfer Day is open to AVC students planning to transfer and for members of the community interested in learning about other educational opportunities.

Representatives are expected from six University of California The University of California has a combined student body of more than 191,000 students, over 1,340,000 living alumni, and a combined systemwide and campus endowment of just over $7.3 billion (8th largest in the United States).  campuses, including Berkeley, Irvine, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego and Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles' Air Force ROTC program.

 campuses represented will include Cal Poly San Luis Obispo San Luis Obispo (săn l`ĭs ōbĭs`pō), city (1990 pop. 41,958), seat of San Luis Obispo co., S Calif., near San Luis Obispo Bay; inc. 1856. , Cal Poly Pomona, Bakersfield, Channel Islands, Dominguez Hills, Fresno, Fullerton, Humboldt, Monterey Bay, Northridge, San Bernardino and San Marcos.

Private schools are expected to include the Academy of Art University, Albertson College of Idaho The College of Idaho is a liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 800 students located in Caldwell, Idaho. History
The college marks its beginning six years before Idaho's statehood when the Presbyterian Church's Wood River Presbytery, meeting in
, Alliant International University, Azusa Pacific, California Baptist University, California Lutheran University, Cambridge College, Chapman University and Cleveland Chiropractic College.

Columbia College, Concordia University, Embry-Riddle University, Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Hope International University, La Sierra University, The Master's College and Mesa State College are also expected.
