TRANSFER AGENT ROLE IN INVESTOR RELATIONS IS TOPIC
FOR DETROIT NIRI MEETING FEB. 4
One of the essential behind-the-scenes operations in the investor relations field -- the relationship between the transfer agent and the corporation -- will be discussed at the National Investor Relations Institute luncheon meeting, Tuesday. Feb. 4.
Donald E. Kleckner, second vice president, NBD Bank; and Barry M. Murphy, director of Investor Relations, Federal-Mogul Corp., will discuss "Everything You Wanted to Know About Transfer Agents But Were Afraid to Ask."
This professional development topic is of interest to anyone in investor relations, especially those who want to respond quickly to shareholders' questions. Kleckner and Murphy, both directors of the NIRI Detroit Chapter, are well-known investor relations practitioners.
The meeting will begin at 11:45 a.m. with a reception, followed by the luncheon at noon, at the Renaissance Club, Tower 200, 36th Floor, Renaissance Center in Detroit. The cost is $20 for NIRI members and $25 for non-members and guests.
To register, call Martha Stephens of the National Association of Investors Corp., 313-543-0612.
