TRANSAMERICAN WASTE SIGNS LETTER OF INTENT TO ACQUIRE MIDWESTERN SERVICES, INC.

 HOUSTON, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- TransAmerican Waste Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: WSTE) announced today that it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Midwestern Services, Inc. Midwestern is a 20-year-old company specializing in the transportation, processing and reclamation of crude oil sludges.
 The acquisition will expand TransAmerican's market share in the oilfield waste recovery business and is expected to add approximately $5,000,000 in revenues over the next year. Midwestern enhances the service capabilities of two wholly-owned subsidiaries, Inland Products, Inc. and Controlled Recovery, Inc.
 TransAmerican Waste Industries, Inc. is an environmental solutions company involved in the transportation, processing and disposal of non- hazardous solid and industrial waste. Operations also include oilfield waste recovery as well as environmental consulting and engineering. The company's common stock is traded on the National Market System under the NASDAQ symbol WSTE.
