TRANS-LUX CORPORATION ANNOUNCES NEW ALIGNMENT OF OFFICERS

 NORWALK, Conn., Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Trans-Lux Corporation (AMEX: TLX) today announced that Mr. Ronald Turcotte resigned as president and COO for personal reasons, effective immediately. Mr. Richard Brandt, chairman, expressed the appreciation of the corporation for his services and efforts through the years and wished him well in his future endeavors.
 Mr. Brandt also announced the Mr. Victor Liss, vice chairman and CEO of the corporation, was additionally elected president and that Mr. Robert Budd, a senior vice president of sales and marketing, who has been with the company for 15 years, was elected executive vice president of the corporation.
 In a separate release earlier this week, the company announced that it had increased its quarterly dividend from the annual rate of 12 cents to 14 cents per share.
 Trans-Lux Corporation, whose securities are traded under the symbol "TLX" on the American Stock Exchange, has two operating divisions. The communications division designs, produces, leases, sells and services large-scale, multi-color information displays for both indoor and outdoor use and various communication terminal products. Trans-Lux displays are used primarily in applications for the banking, financial, transportation, corporate and gaming markets. The entertainment division operates a growing chain of motion picture theatres in the Southwest.
