TRANS FINANCIAL ANNOUNCES SEARCH FOR NEW CFO

 BOWLING GREEN, Ky., Nov. 16 ~PRNewswire~ -- Trans Financial Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: TRFI), a Bowling Green-based bank holding company, today announced it had retained an executive recruiting firm to conduct a nationwide search for a chief financial officer to replace David Blackburn who is leaving the company to pursue other career interests.
 Chairman and CEO Douglas M. Lester indicated that he and Barry Bray, executive vice president, and the bank's chief credit officer will be responsible for inquiries from the investment community. Ms. Sharetta Coleman, CPA, the bank's comptroller, will be responsible for the day- to-day financial operations until a successor to Mr. Blackburn is found.
 Trans Financial, a bank holding company, serves Kentucky and Tennessee through 27 offices. Its stock is traded in the NASDAQ National Market System under the symbol TRFI.
