The Toreadores were a complete team Friday, beating host Birmingham of Lake Balboa 75-52 in a West Valley League dual meet. Taft's sprinters, as always, are solid, and Jamere Holland on Friday won the 100 and 200 meters and Elijah Wells the 400. The surprise was the Toreadores also stood out in distance events, outpointing Birmingham 15-12 - the first time they've done so against the Patriots in at least 20 years. ``This very well could be the best Taft team ever,'' coach Brian Godsey said.
