 TOYOTA COMPANIES REPORT RECROD 1991 RESULTS
 TORRANCE, Calif., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- In addition to selling


more than 1 million vehicles in 1991, Toyota reported record-setting 1991 results from its U.S.-based affiliate companies.
 Toyota Industrial Euipment (TIE) reported recrod sales of forklifts, with more than 70 percent of its products produced at Toyota Industrial Equipment Manufacturing in Columbus, Ind.
 Toyota's U.S. Parts Division set a record for 1991 with $1.1 billion in sales. U.S.-sourced parts have increased from 35 percent in 1990 to 38 percent in 1991, with 50 percent targeted for 1995.
 Toyota Motor Credit Corp. (TMCC) reported increases in contracts purchased for both retail and leased units.
 "1991 was our third consecutive year of increased penetration," said TMCC Vice President Bob Pitts. "While banks have been withdrawing from automotive financing, TMCC has added branch offices ot better serve our Toyota and Lexus dealers."
 Combined retail and lease dollar volume rose 21 percent to $3.4 billion in 1991.
 Lease dollar volume showed the greatest increase, from $790 million to $1.3 billion, a 59 percent gain.
