TOYOTA'S CHARLOTTE-AREA RETAIL SALES CLIMB IN OCTOBER

MIAMI, Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Toyota's four Charlotte-area dealers report a 10-percent hike in car sales in October over the same month last year.
Nationwide, Toyota car sales in October dropped 12 percent from the year-ago month.
"Given the increased competition in today's marketplace, it is encouraging to watch sales in the Charlotte area continue to edge upward," said Southeast Toyota President Pat Moran.
Ranked first among Toyota's American distributors in sales and customer satisfaction, Southeast Toyota is the independent distributor of Toyotas in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Owned and operated by JM Family Enterprises, Inc., Southeast Toyota is based in Deerfield Beach, Fla.
Charlotte-area dealers include Scott Clark's Toyota City, Toyota of Concord, Town and Country Toyota, and Harrelson Toyota.
