TOYOTA'S ATLANTA-AREA RETAIL SALES CLIMB IN SEPTEMBER

MIAMI, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Toyota's 13 Atlanta-area dealers report a 49 percent hike in car sales and a 43 percent gain in truck sales in September over the same month last year.
In Southeast Toyota's five-state region, retail car sales in September advanced 15 percent over the year-ago month, while retail truck sales climbed 19 percent over September 1992.
Nationwide, retail car sales in September increased 2 percent over the year-ago month, while retail truck sales jumped 34 percent over September 1992.
Southeast Toyota President Pat Moran credited the affordability of Toyota's lease programs and the popularity of American-built Corollas, Camrys and compact pickup trucks with leading the recent sales surge.
Ranked first among Toyota's American distributors in sales and customer satisfaction, Southeast Toyota is the independent distributor of Toyotas in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Owned and operated by JM Family Enterprises, Inc., Southeast Toyota is based in Deerfield Beach, Fla.
