 Wednesday in Canyon Country, causing a small fire and knocking out electricity to nearly 3,100 homes and businesses, fire and utility spokesmen said.

``With such extensive damage, it could be quite a while before we restore power,'' he said. Workers were trying to reroute lines to bring power back to as many customers as possible, then fix the larger problem.

No injuries or serious damage was reported.
