TOWER Technology today announced that it has signed a series of contracts with a range of public sector and government customers throughout the world. Organizations as diverse as the United States Treasury, the UK's Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) and Australian Department of Natural Resources and Mines have all selected TOWER Technology to provide better public services.

TOWER Technology has enabled the Financial Management Service Division of the U.S. Treasury to automate the process of managing debt collection documentation and improve communication between taxpayers and various agency departments. The result is streamlined collection of more than $1 Billion debt the Treasury collects each year. Using the TOWER solution, collectors manage their jobs with greater speed and efficiency with the cycle time for reversing transactions reduced from weeks, sometimes months, to just one day. As a result, debtor records and millions of dollars are no longer in suspense. In the UK, the University and College Admissions Service (UCAS), the States of Jersey's Social Security Department, Transport for London; Registers of Scotland, the Scottish Land Registry; the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), as well as the DVLA chose TOWER Technology's document processing system and content repository, to help manage all forms of unstructured business information - images, forms, computer-generated reports, statements and invoices, office documents, e-Mail and Web content. In Queensland, Australia, the use of TOWER at the department of Natural Resources and Mines allows exploration companies to access thousands of mineral and exploration reports over the Internet. The reports are being made available to exploration companies as part of the Queensland Government's $8 million "Prospectivity Plus Exploration Initiative" to attract new mining exploration investment to Queensland. "The department handles a high volume of reports, usually 1000 a year and this new system is not just replacing an old system, rather it is a new way for us to operate.
