Windstar Cruises' French and Italian Riviera The Italian Riviera (Italian Riviera ligure) is the narrow coastal strip which lies between the Ligurian Sea and the mountain chain formed by the Maritime Alps and the  cruises, with 14 departures scheduled aboard the 148-passenger Wind Star May 3-Aug. 2, will include four ports of call in Italy and an overnight in Monte Carlo Monte Carlo (môNtā` kärlō`), town (1982 pop. 13,150), principality of Monaco, on the Mediterranean Sea and the French Riviera. .
