Via a classic 1940s Streamliner train and America's largest paddlewheeler, the American Queen American Queen is the largest steamboat ever built. The ship was built in 1995 and is a six-deck recreation of a classic Mississippi riverboat, owned by Majestic America Line. , travelers will see fall colors on an 11-day journey that will take them from Oakland to Pittsburgh.

The trip leaves from Oakland Oct. 10, traveling east via the Southern Pacific and Denver & Rio Grand Western railroads. Grassroots Mexico: Global Exchange, a San Francisco-based human rights organization that conducts ``reality tours'' examining political and economic issues at home and abroad, is organizing a June 29-July 9 delegation that will travel to Mexico to observe nationwide elections.

Participants will receive training in Mexico City, then split into smaller groups to observe elections in six states.
