The Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies The Canadian Rockies comprise the Canadian segment of the North American Rocky Mountains range. The southern end in Alberta and British Columbia borders Idaho and Montana of the USA. The northern end is at the Liard Plain in British Columbia. , a nonprofit group, sponsors 10 six-day trail rides this summer and fall. Family rides will run July 7-12 and Aug. 11-16; naturalist rides are set for Aug. 4-9 and Aug. 18-23. Other rides scheduled include July 14-19, July 21-26, July 28-Aug. 2, Aug. 25-30, Sept. 1-6 and Sept. 8-13.

Ride costs - which include use of horse and saddle, teepee or tent lodgings, all meals, guides and transportation to and from trailheads - range from $535 for children 15 and younger to $800 for adults, plus group membership fee and park user fee.
