White water: Spirit Kings River Whitewater The River Whitewater flows through Hampshire and is a tributary of the River Blackwater near Swallowfield. Its headwaters flow over chalk and there is little pollution making the river Whitewater rich in wildlife.[1] It was noted on Janssen's map of Hampshire of 1646.  leads whitewater rafting trips on the Kings River through Kings Canyon National Park Kings Canyon National Park, 461,901 acres (187,070 hectares), E central California. Largely wilderness, the park features summits of the High Sierras and two enormous canyons on the Kings River.  and Sierra and Sequoia national forests from April through August, depending on the weather. Three days are spent cruising the bay and whale-watching in Icy Strait. At the lodge, tour participants can take naturalist-led forest hikes, tours of the homestead community of Gustavus and National Park Service lectures on the history, environment and geology of Glacier Bay. Stay and tour: The SeaVenture Resort in Pismo Beach offers either a 2-1/2-hour tour of Central Coast wineries or a tour of Hearst Castle for its guests. Both packages include double-occupancy lodgings and a $40 restaurant credit. The "Wine Valley Getaway Package" package, which costs $249 per night Sunday through Thursday and $299 per night Friday and Saturday, includes two wine tour tickets and a set of souvenir glasses. The "Hearst Castle Package," which costs $319 per person Sunday through Wednesday, $359 Saturday, includes a tour of the castle, botanical tour of Cambria's Moonstone moonstone, an orthoclase feldspar, found in Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Madagascar (and formerly in the St. Gotthard district of Switzerland).
