Lisa Nolan, an operations supervisor overseeing tree purchase and decoration, takes comfort in the tree's proximity to police headquarters.

``It's starting over,'' she said. ``It's no big deal. We can't stop Christmas. ... We do it for the kids. But the adults, you sit back and watch them and they enjoy it every bit as much as the children do.''
