TOPZ TO OPEN MORE HEALTH-CONSCIOUS FAST FOOD LOCATIONS IN VALLEY.

Burgers and fries swell up those thin thighs. Or do they? Not if TOPZ fast food chain can help it. The only thing you'll see expanding at TOPZ in coming months is the number of outlets.

Valley, southern California, U.S. Northwest of central Los Angeles, the valley is bounded by the San Gabriel, Santa Susana, and Santa Monica mountains and the Simi Hills.
, TOPZ sells slimmed-down burgers, fries and shakes that it refers to as ``fast food for grown-ups.''

TOPZ's burger patties, for example, contain only 10 grams of fat, compared with the 30 to 40 grams in a typical burger, the company says. And its Air Fries are touted as containing only half the fat of other fries.

The first TOPZ opened in Sherman Oaks's La Reina La Reina (Spanish: "The queen") is a commune of Chile located in Santiago Province, Santiago Metropolitan Region. Next year will likely see about 15 more TOPZ shops.

TOPZ is the brainchild of two men: Larry Sarokin, a member of the 1960s band Every Mother's Son Every Mother's Son was a rock band formed in New York City in 1967. Brothers Dennis (born 22 November 1948) and Larry Larden (born 10 August 1945) had originally performed as a folk duo.  and former executive with the La Salsa Mexican food chain; and Al DaCosta, a graduate of the Swiss Culinary Institute, food consultant and former executive with Lawry's, Gullivers and Bobby McGee's restaurants.

Work is under way on a 30,500-square-foot shopping center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into  on the southwest corner of Chatsworth Street and Balboa Boulevard in Granada Hills that, when complete, will be anchored by a 24,000-square-foot Staples office supply store.

The project involves retrofitting an existing building plus new construction. The center, which will also be home to a drugstore and other retailers, should be complete in about three months.

Two new Old Navy stores expect to drop anchor on March 31: a 21,454-square-foot outlet in the Northridge Fashion Center Northridge Fashion Center is a large shopping mall located in Northridge, California. Old Navy is a division of Gap Inc. that sells clothing at a discounted rate.

Direct mail computer retailer Gateway just opened a Gateway Country store at 6235 Topanga Canyon Blvd. in Woodland Hills. The store lets customers ``test drive'' the company's products and place orders for factory-direct shipment. The new Gateway Country also offers business solutions, training and service centers, and features a Kids Zone, where youngsters can try out computers and software.
