COMMITMENT: Monrovia High running back Akil Harris said he will sign a national letter of intent with UCLA on Wednesday. Harris, who gave the University of Colorado University of Colorado may refer to:

Formerly a college head coach, he is currently the offensive coordinator for the NFL's Baltimore Ravens, after being promoted from quarterbacks coach on January 15,  and running-backs coach Kennedy Pola Kennedy Pola (born on November 22, 1963 in Pago Pago, American Samoa) is the running backs coach for the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars.  left the school for the University of Washington. Harris said his decision to give UCLA a oral commitment was after much thought and discussion with his family. ``My family and I talked about it, and we weighed everything,'' Harris said. ``But I think what it came down to was that I like UCLA, and the fact that my parents and grandmother can come see me play.''

CHARGES DROPPED? Atlanta Falcons safety Eugene Robinson, arrested for soliciting an undercover police officer for sex the night before the Super Bowl, could have charges dropped through a diversion program. ``We will proceed against him like almost all people in his situation who get arrested for solicitation,'' Don Ungurait, a spokesman for the State Attorney's office in Miami-Dade County, said. ``If there are no priors, it is certainly in the realm of probability that he will get an opportunity to go to a diversion program. . . . If he was offered that type of program and he completed it, then the charges would be dropped against him.''
