BARSTOW Barstow (bär`stō), city (1990 pop. 21,472), San Bernardino co., SE Calif., on the dry Mojave River; founded in the 1880s as a silver-mining town, inc. 1947. Railroad shops and the Goldstone space tracking station are major employers. Several U.  (2-1) AT ANTELOPE VALLEY This article is about the Los Angeles County region. For the census-designated place in Wyoming, see Antelope Valley-Crestview, Wyoming.

The Antelope Valley
 (2-1)

7:30 p.m.

Outlook: The Antelopes are back on track after suffering a 45-13 season- opening wipeout at the hands of Bakersfield. A.V. has posted shutouts of Victor Valley (35-0) and Sultana (21-0) the past two weeks. But defending Southern Section Division VIII finalist Barstow should pose a bigger challenge.

The Aztecs have split games against Golden League teams Palmdale and Littlerock, dominating the Lobos in last week's 26-6 win. Barstow has a battle-tested QB, Tommy Rhynes, and a running attack that totaled 285 yards against the Lobos.

Antelope Valley looks like a contender in the Golden League with a defense allowing just 216.3 yards per game. On offense, QB Demetre Booker has accounted for 430 combined passing and rushing yards, while RB Sean Wallace Wal·lace , Alfred Russel 1823-1913.

 AT LITTLEROCK (2-1)

7 p.m.

Outlook: The Lobos were slowed down by an always-tough Barstow last week, but Littlerock figures to get back on track against St. Bernard. Lobos RB John Ford (282 yards, seven TDs) is questionable with an ankle injury. Ford missed last week's 26-6 loss to the Aztecs and the Lobos struggled to just six first downs.

The Lobos are traditionally strong on the defensive side of the ball and have some solid LBs, led by Colt COLT. An animal of the horse species, whether male or female, not more than four years old. Russ. & Ry. 416.  Hunter. But the Lobos are giving up an average of 370 yards per game.
