TODAY'S GAMES.

NO. 3 MICHIGAN at NO. 14 UCLA UCLA University of California at Los Angeles
UCLA University Center for Learning Assistance (Illinois State University)
UCLA University of Carrollton, TX and Lower Addison, TX

Kickoff: 12:30 p.m., at the Rose Bowl.

TV/Radio: Channel 7 (KABC KABC Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children ); 1150-AM.

Records: Michigan 2-0, UCLA 2-0.

Series: Michigan leads, 8-2.

Injury update: Michigan: QB Drew Henson
Drew Daniel Henson (born February 13, 1980 in San Diego, California) is a former baseball player and American football quarterback who recently played for the Minnesota Vikings before being cut on August 27th, 2007.
(foot) out, FS Cato June Cato June (born November 18, 1979 in Riverside, California) is an American football outside linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. June excels as an outside linebacker, especially in the "Tampa-2" scheme.  (knee), DE Jake Frysinger (knee) out, TE Shawn Thompson (knee) out. UCLA: QB Cory Paus (shoulder) out, DT Anthony Fletcher (knee) probable, DT Ken Kocher Ken Kocher (born 1980-07-30 in Fullerton, California) is an Arena Football League defensive lineman for the Columbus Destroyers. Kocher was a Parade High School All-American and a standout at UCLA.  (ankle) probable, WR Brian Poli-Dixon (hamstring) probable.

Keep an eye on: The quarterbacks, John Navarre John Robert Navarre (born September 9, 1980) is an American football quarterback who most recently was in training camp for the Indianapolis Colts of the NFL, although the Colts subsequently waived Navarre on Tuesday, August 8, 2007. He is currently an NFL free agent.  for Michigan and Ryan McCann Ryan McCann (born 21 September 1981 in Bellshill) is a Scottish football midfielder currently playing for Bohemians. McCann began his career with Celtic, where he made one solitary appearance in an end of season game.  for UCLA. With Anthony Thomas (239 yards, 37 carries, 3 TDs) and DeShaun Foster DeShaun Xavier Foster (born January 10, 1980 in Charlotte, North Carolina) is an American football running back who plays for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League.  (327, 71 carries, 5 TDs), two of the nation's best running backs, the key will be whether either inexperienced quarterback can make the defense pay for loading up on the run. Navarre - 25 for 34 with 7 TDs and no interceptions - is the No. 1-rated passer in the nation, but the redshirt freshman has done it against Rice and Bowling Green Bowling Green.

1 City (1990 pop. 40,641), seat of Warren co., S Ky., on the Barren River; inc. 1812. It is a shipping and marketing center for an area producing tobacco, corn, livestock, and dairy items.
and has yet to play on the road. McCann, meanwhile, is making his third career start and hasn't led the Bruins to more than a touchdown in the previous two (USC An abbreviation for U.S. Code.  in '99 and Fresno State last week). Whoever passes best will establish the run, a factor even more critical with temperatures in Pasadena expected to be in the upper-90s today.

Michigan update: Coach Lloyd Carr said he will keep Drew Henson out at least one more game despite speculation that he might be available against the Bruins. ``Drew practiced some this week,'' Carr said in an Ann Arbor, Mich., radio interview. ``He's really on a day-to-day basis and he is making improvement. On Wednesday, he was much better. He will not play in this game. Based on the doctor's report and from what I see, it's not worth the risk. He will be ready to resume practice regularly on Monday.'' The Wolverines have cruised to blowout wins over Rice and Bowling Green, but how will they react to playing on the road with an untested quarterback? Michigan is eerily similar to UCLA offensively with an inexperienced quarterback, big-play receivers (David Terrell, Marquise Walker and Ronald Bellamy) and a physical tailback (Anthony Thomas) working behind a strong all-senior offensive line (LG Steve Hutchinson and LT Jeff Backus started as freshmen for the '97 national champions).
