Keep an eye on: USC offensive tackle John Drake - He's expected to start with Justice out with a sore ankle. But the 350-pound junior college transfer might wilt in the desert heat, so he'll probably need help, with senior Eric Torres a likely candidate. USC tailback LenDale White - The game plan includes a larger role for the freshman, who gives the Trojans a physical presence. USC wide receiver Jason Mitchell - Another player promised more playing time. Will he actually get it? USC linebacker Daniel Urquhart - He makes his first career start filling in for the injured Tatupu. Kicker Ryan Killeen - After missing an overtime field goal last week, will he rebound or have another frustrating day?

Arizona State update: The Sun Devils might be the biggest disappointment of the Pacific-10 Conference after being picked to finish second. They scored two points in their first big test against Iowa and were routed by Oregon State 45-17. Quarterback Andrew Walter has completed 52 percent of his passes for 892 yards, but the Sun Devils are converting just 23 percent of their third-down plays and have the eighth-best offense in the conference.
