All games 7:30 p.m.

Division I-A, first round

Hart (11-15) at Quartz Hill (18-7)

Keep an eye on: Hart's Liam Waters, a 6-foot-4 forward, stepped up his game in Foothill League play averaging 18 points. GIRLS' SOCCER

Division I, wild card

3 p.m.

Valencia at Walnut

Outlook: Valencia was one of the region's most dominating teams early in the season, but its youth hurt it during league as the Vikings finished third. Valencia's focus is on the future, so anything it does the rest of this season is a bonus. Walnut is the second-place representative from the Baseline League. The winner plays Pacific-League champion Arcadia on Saturday.

Keep an eye on: Valencia senior defender Devin McLean. Not only does she anchor a solid defense, but she sparks the offense with her powerful flip throw-ins that often catch opponents by surprise.
