Injury report: UCLA - LB Patrick Pierre-Louis (shoulder) out; San Diego State - RB James Truvillion (ankle) doubtful, G Raul Gomez(staph infection).

Keep an eye on: UCLA's Ricky Manning vs. J.R. Tolver. Manning, a two-time All-Pac-10 cornerback, was roasted by Oklahoma State's Rashaun Woods two weeks ago. Now he'll be matched up most of the day with Tolver, the nation's leading receiver who averages 11 catches and 179 yards per game.

San Diego State update: The Aztecs have been in every game, losing to Fresno State 16-14 on a blocked field goal on the final play; being within 21-14 against Colorado midway through the third period; blowing a 22-point lead against Arizona State and a 14-point lead against Idaho. QB Adam Hall has thrown for more than 500 yards the last two weeks and is No. 2 in the nation in total offense. The youthful defense, which starts just four seniors, has taken its lumps.

NO. 23 OREGON STATE (4-0) vs. NO. 18 USC (2-1)

TV/Radio: Fox Sports Net; 1540-AM, 1090-AM (Spanish, joined in progress after Angels game).

Series: USC leads 54-8-4 and had won 26 in a row over the Beavers before losing in 2000. Last year, USC won 16-13 in overtime at the Coliseum. Oregon State has not defeated USC in L.A. since 1960.

Injury update: USC - CB Kevin Arbet (foot), OT Joe McGuire (shoulder), TB Darryl Poston (back), TE Scott Huber (hip), LB Chris Prosser (concussion), CB Ronald Nunn (knee), WR D. Hale (foot), WR Jason Mitchell (back) and DE Daniel Urquhart (arm) are out. WR Grant Mattos (abdomen) and FB Chad Pierson (ankle) are questionable. Oregon State - DT Henry Anderson (arm), DE Dan Rothwell (knee), LT Brian Kilkenny (leg), FB Ryan Cozzetto (concussion) and WR Deondre Alexander (shoulder) are out. SE Jayson Boyd (toe) is probable.

Keep an eye on: USC kicker Ryan Killeen. The junior-college transfer gets his first start after replacing David Davis midway through the Kansas State game. He has a career-long field goal of 48 yards. USC cornerback William Buchanon. Another player getting his first start, Buchanon beat out freshman Justin Wyatt in practice after playing two quarters against Kansas State. USC wide receiver Kareem Kelly. The senior has not been a crucial part of the offense and fumbled twice in the first three games, but with the receiving corps shorthanded, he should get more opportunities. USC tailback Justin Fargas. He should get the most carries of his career today.

Oregon State update: Quarterback Derek Anderson has thrown 15 touchdown passes and just one interception in four games. He is No. 2 in the nation in passing efficiency.
