NEWHALL - Free breast cancer screenings will be offered Saturday in Newhall to women whose insurance does not cover the testing, thanks to a program coordinated by the Zonta Club of the Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672. .

The second annual Healthy Woman's Day, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help School Our Lady of Perpetual Help School in Vancouver, British Columbia, is a Catholic elementary school. The school opened in 1927, ran by the Sisters of Charity of Halifax.

The school, along with the O.L.P.H.
, will provide the screenings and follow-up services if indicated.

The Zonta Club is working with the Samuel Dixon Health Center in Val Verde, which will provide nurse practitioners and a doctor to conduct the screenings and evaluations.

In addition, the Mobile Mammography mammography, diagnostic procedure that uses low-dose X rays to detect abnormalities in the breasts. Women participating in the screenings will also receive education in self-exams and healthy lifestyles from medical professionals.
