The exhibit, created in 2005 and housed in a 53-foot-long trailer, presents representations of the surfaces of the moon, Mars and places beyond the Red Planet. Visitors can also learn about how life on Earth will evolve as NASA develops advances in power, computer technologies, communications, networking and robotics robotics, science and technology of general purpose, programmable machine systems. Contrary to the popular fiction image of robots as ambulatory machines of human appearance capable of performing almost any task, most robotic systems are anchored to fixed positions . The wheelchair-accessible exhibit takes approximately 10 minutes to navigate, and the trailer can accommodate up to 128 visitors an hour.
