 is taking his new label Poptones on the road to discover the next saviours of rock and roll.

Headlining are his new signings Cosmic Rough Riders, alongside local wannabes Wannabes is an online interactive soap and game created for the BBC by Illumna Digital. Wannabes follows on from Jamie Kane, the BBC's previous foray into online interactive drama. The show/game consists of 14 10 minute episodes released twice a week.  Rochenko and 4 Kings. There's a 50/50 chance of Mr McGee being there, so if you've ever strapped on a guitar, you should be there. And Cosmic Rough Riders, with a brand of sunny, psychedelic pop that tips a hat to Buffalo Springfields and Crosby, Stills and Nash, are being hailed as McGee's best chance of a return to the big time.

A new presence has been felt. A new indie rock night at Bridgies, Meadow Street, Nuneaton. Three Nuneaton bands playing. Scarlet Phere, Ethergreen, Home for the Summer. Further data unavailable.

Dark Side of the Wall at Kelly's in Leamington. They sound almost exactly like Pink Floyd. They are not Pink Floyd. Mr Spock finds this illogical.

Distress signal received from Traffic at Carey's, suggests we should head there on Saturday night. Message came from Miles Holloway (Paper Records). Needs urgent assistance 'cos he's "just too damn funky".

Mr Spock beginning to show interest.
