TNT and TBS Superstation To Become Exclusive Basic Cable Home Of DreamWorks SKG Theatrical Productions.

ATLANTA--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--April 6, 1999--In a major film licensing agreement, Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. has entered into an exclusive syndication window output deal with DreamWorks SKG  that will make Turner Network Television (TNT) and TBS Superstation the exclusive basic cable home of DreamWorks SKG motion pictures. The multi-year agreement, beginning in 2002, was announced today by Bill Burke, president of TBS Superstation; Brad Siegel, president of TNT; and Hal Richardson, DreamWorks SKG.

"The DreamWorks SKG productions will add to our unrivaled arsenal of top movies and deliver desirable younger audiences to the Superstation movie franchises," said Burke. "Adding the DreamWorks SKG titles to our collection of major contemporary motion pictures from all the other major studios reinforces TNT's position as the premiere showcase for `new classics', while continuing to drive basic cable ratings and viewership," commented Siegel.

In aggressively pursuing the broadcast network and syndication windows of major theatricals, TBS Superstation and TNT have altered the distribution landscape for motion pictures on commercial television. Confidential, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Payback, Wag the Dog, The Wedding Singer, Michael, U.S. Marshals, Pleasantville, Contact, Conspiracy Theory, The English Patient, Dumb and Dumber, Space Jam, The Mask of Zorro, The Negotiator, The American President and The Shawshank Redemption. The more than 400 major titles headed to TNT and TBS Superstation in the syndication window include Men In Black, Air Force One, Twister, Scream, Ransom, My Best Friend's Wedding, The Rock, Eraser, A Time To Kill and The Devil's Own.
