TJ SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES NEW LEASE AGREEMENTS FOR $4.2 MILLION WITH GENERAL ELECTRIC AND HERTZ CORPORATION

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- TJ Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: TJSY) announced today that the company has signed new lease agreements with General Electric Corporation and the Hertz Corporation, in excess of $4.2 million, which became effective January 1993.
General Electric and Hertz Corporation are leasing equipment valued at $1.6 million and $2.6 million, respectively. Additional new lease agreements valued at $2.7 million were also signed by the company within the last 60 days with Grunmman Aerospace, Newsday, Tiffany & Co., Case Corporation, Hartford Graduate Center, and Bed, Bath & Beyond.
A total of $6.9 million in new lease agreements represent equipment from a cross-section of leading American computer manufacturers such as Sun Microsystems, Unisys, Digital Equipment, NCR, AT&T and IBM. Less than 10 percent of these leases involve equipment manufactured by IBM, further emphasizing the company's strategy to diversify its portfolio.
"TJ Systems' agreement with General Electric makes an important statement regarding the company's growing reputation and capability to implement creative lease strategies to meet the needs of leading corporations," explained Theodore J. Orlando, chairman and CEO.
TJ Systems officials stated that the availability of new business had increased dramatically in the last quarter, reflecting a renewed willingness of companies to replace or upgrade equipment. The company stated it would continue to explore viable avenues of raising capital necessary for new equipment funding.
TJ Systems Corporation primarily offers to national and international corporations custom-designed leasing packages to supply computers, peripheral and related equipment. TJ Systems Corporation is headquartered in Hauppauge, with offices also in Atlanta.
