Houston, 50, will use her yearlong reign to mentor pre-teen girls and increase awareness of cancer and heart disease among African-American women. She also will continue as a sponsor sister with Women for Women International, an organization that reaches out to victims of violence in foreign countries. ``I am so honored and excited to have been selected and have the opportunity at this age in my life to help solidify a pageant concept like this one,'' said Houston, a co-host and co-producer of ``Talkin Back Live,'' a daily talk show on KCRN, a national cable radio station. ``In my title I represent various women - baby boomers See generation X. , mature women over 40, voluptuous women, mothers and married women.''
