 TITAN AWARDS MEDICAL FACILITY SUBCONTRACT
 DENVER, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The Titan Corp. (NYSE: TTN)


announced today that it has selected CH2M HILL to support the construction of its electron beam medical product sterilization facility planned to open in Denver. The facility is scheduled to open in May of 1993 and is in final site selection.
 The contract was awarded to CH2M HILL for architectural, engineering and planning services. CH2M HILL is an employee-owned, full-service engineering design firm. Formed in 1946, the firm is the nation's largest consulting engineering firm and a world leader in the environmental sciences. CH2M HILL is based in Denver, with more than 5,000 employees worldwide offering a wide variety of expertise in planning, design and program management for chemical, civil, electrical, industrial, mechanical and water resource engineering; waste management; irradiation research; and process engineering.
 Titan Scan general manager Gary Pageau said the company selected CH2M HILL for several reasons. "The company has extensive experience in irradiation technology. This includes feasibility studies, advanced industrial planning, permitting, process design, and facility design. We believe adding CH2M HILL to our team will ensure the success of our Denver project."
 The Titan Corp., headquartered in San Diego, designs, manufactures and installs high technology information and electronic products and systems for government, commercial and international clients.
