`DEVIL'S' PLAYGROUND: Designer labels and the rag trade were on everyone's lips when ``The Devil Wears Prada'' launched the 12th annual LA Film Festival in Westwood Village on Thursday night.

Grenier is best known for his lead role on the HBO original series, Entourage, as Vincent Chase.  (Gucci) discussed the film and their own approach to fashion. Some guests -- who included Allison Janney, Virginia Madsen, Nicole Richie Nicole Camille Richie (born September 21, 1981) is an American socialite, actress, television personality, author, entrepreneur, style icon, model, and singer. The adopted daughter of Lionel Richie, she is known for her role in the reality show The Simple Life , Shawn Pyfrom and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa Antonio Ramon Villaraigosa (born Antonio (Tony) Ramon Villar, Jr. on January 23, 1953) is the mayor of Los Angeles, California. He is the first Latino mayor of Los Angeles since Cristobal Aguilar in 1872.  -- kept up the chatter at the street party in the festival's ``Popcorn Alley'' on Broxton Avenue after the screening.

``I used to think of fashion as an exclusive club that I'd never be able to join,'' said Hathaway, who plays an assistant working for a high-powered fashion editor portrayed by delightfully demonic Meryl Streep, who missed the opening to celebrate her 57th birthday. ``Now I respect it as a business, but still don't think I've got much style. , an impostor.''

``You've got to study for years to get it right, and I can't even pronounce all of the designers' names yet,'' added Grenier. ``But at least I don't worry about what to wear every morning.''

Still ``Prada'' -- the movie -- may have some impact on what's in style. ``The costume designer put different items together for my character that opened my eyes to the way clothes can be creatively mixed,'' said Tucci.

Not everyone is consciously into designer garb. Janney was wearing a dress she bought five years ago and had to ask a journalist to check the label (Heike Jarick). ``Desperate Housewives''' Pyfrom, 19, showed up in ripped jeans and a T ``to be comfortable.'' And the mayor admitted that he's not (yet) a Gucci guy. ``I buy my clothes on sale and off the rack,'' said Villaraigosa. Bet the devil hates politicians.

After signing a few autographs, Mischa Barton teased Nicole Richie about who would walk the red carpet first. With Paris Hilton only a few feet ahead of Richie, the ``Simple Life'' stars' famous feud may have lost its fire. Richie's on-again, off-again boyfriend DJ AM was spinning at the party. Brandy, Hilary Duff, Eva Longoria, Laura Prepon and Serena Williams also checked out the scene.

The Palladium was set up like a kids' playground. A waif drifted by on a pink swing above the busy central bar, while pretty gals in pink shorts and pigtails This article is about the hair style. For the connectors, see Optical fiber.

Baseball star Jose Canseco was tugging at his shirt, looking warm and uncomfortable while enjoying the ``big party and beautiful women. My daughter Josie loves the Sidekick. I'm real simple, I just use it for making calls and checking messages, but my daughter uses hers for everything and she's only 9. I go through about one cell phone every four months. I break them, lose them or they fall in the water.''

EVERYTHING'S SUPER: Shaquille O'Neal flew in from Miami, wore a Superman T-shirt and towered over Brandon Routh on the powder-grey carpet at the premiere of ``Superman Returns'' in Westwood on Wednesday night.

But the new Man of Steel, accompanied by girlfriend Courtney Ford and a dozen family members from Iowa, easily outshined the NBA NBA

The latest incarnation of Superman, who says he channeled some of Christopher Reeve's ``energy'' to play the iconic role, was everyone's hero.

``When you're a young person, you just fantasize about being Lois and being carried across the city,'' said Kate Bosworth, who plays Lois Lane. ``Who can resist Superman?''

Newspaper vending machines displayed the Daily Planet issue with ``Superman Returns'' on the front page. Red-and-green laser lights flashed above replicas of the Kent family mailbox, barn and windmill.

Adventurous guests tried bungee jumping, anti-gravity machines, trampolines and Superman video games.

Routh, looking as though he still possessed his super powers, lifted up a little kid to pose for a picture. Bosworth sat on the lap of boyfriend Orlando Bloom, but took time out to rub Spacey's back. And nobody seemed to get too close to the rare samples of green Kryptonite.
