That's what Skyy Vodka SKYY vodka is produced by SKYY Spirits LLC in San Francisco, California. SKYY Vodka is 40% ABV or 80 proof.  is proposing for this year's Academy Awards.

The spirits company not only has sent selected nominees - including George Clooney George Timothy Clooney (May 6, 1961) is an American actor, director, producer and screenwriter who gained fame as the lead doctor in the long-running television drama, ER , Matt Dillon

For other people named Matt Dillon, see Matt Dillon (disambiguation).

, Heath Ledger, Ang Lee, David Strathairn, Michelle Williams and Reese Witherspoon - a flavored bottle of vodka; each contender also has received a recipe for a cocktail named in honor of his/her film. And, you guessed it, each concoction created by Skyy ``mixologists'' is competing for the Most Spirited Performance award.

The liquid nominees include Good Night, and Good Vanilla, which, says the recipe, is ``as strong as Edward R. Murrow's quest for the truth and will help you sign off with style.'' Multiple nominee Clooney also got a second bottle with a recipe for the Citriana Cosmo that ``is as charged as the politics in 'Syriana.' ''

Philip Seymour Hoffman For other persons named Philip Hoffman, see Philip Hoffman (disambiguation).

Early life
Hoffman was born in Fairport, New York to Gordon S.
, who doesn't drink, did not receive any vodka, but Keener might have told him that the In Cold Berry Cosmo cocktail is purported to be ``a lesser offense than the crimes chronicled in Truman Capote's 'In Cold Blood.' '' And maybe Witherspoon told Joaquin Phoenix, who was in rehab last year to treat his alcohol abuse problem, that the Man in Blackberry potion po·tion

is to be sipped ``while listening to the 'Man in Black.' ''

Meanwhile Orange Crash is considered ``much more harmonious than the racial tensions explored in the film'' and Brokeback Martini is ``a drink that's more at home on a bar than on the range.'' The dark-horse contender is definitely Melonade of a Geisha. That mixture (go to http://skyy.com for recipes) got its name because ``any good geisha geisha

knows it takes more than well-done makeup and pretty robes to win fans.'' And the winner is ...

ON THE GREEN CARPET: The Oscars traditionally make a lot of actors see green. That's why George Clooney, Joaquin Phoenix, Frances McDormand, Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Haggis and David Strathairn are taking part in this year's eco-friendly Red Carpet, Green Cars campaign.

No gas-guzzling, high-polluting Hummers or street-blocking, emissions-belching limos for these nominees at the Academy Awards on March 5. They all responded to an invitation that read: ``On Oscar night, it's not what you wear. It's what you drive.'' And they'll arrive at the red carpet in chauffeur-driven hybrid vehicles like the Toyota Prius, Camry Hybrid, Highlander Hybrid SUV or Lexus SUV Hybrid. Not that they're breaking new ground. Orlando Bloom, Don Cheadle, Cameron Diaz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kirsten Dunst, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hanks, Salma Hayek, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon and Charlize Theron arrived in hybrids the past three years.

``We can be part of the solution by changing how we drive,'' DiCaprio explained last year. ``Not just for the Oscars, but every day.''

But don't think that it's just environmental concerns that dictate the choice of transport. This year, the nominees each receive a Sustainability, Wellness and Green Gifts (SWAGG) bag that includes organic denim, solar-powered iPod chargers, LED flashlights, Frog's Leap Organic Wine and other eco-friendly gifts.

The free cars are being supplied by the nonprofit environmental organization Global Green USA Global Green USA is the U.S. arm of Green Cross International. It is one of 30 national offices with over 70 professional staff worldwide. Global Green USA is a national environmental organization. References

(www.globalgreen.org). Matt Petersen, the organization's president, says hybrid transport doesn't just reduce energy consumption and cut greenhouse gas emissions. He contends that the green movement is a natural extension of ``movies with a message'' Oscar contenders.
