TINSELTOWN SPYWITNESS.

Byline: Joel Stratte-McClure and Jenny Peters

ALL PUFFED UP: Satire was alive and well in Hollywood on Thursday night as the hilarious comedy ``Thank You for Smoking'' premiered to a packed house at the Director's Guild, starting on the red carpet and rolling right on to the after party. Star William H. Macy brandished a fat cigar in one hand and hugged his wife, Felicity Huffman Felicity Huffman (born December 9, 1962) is an Academy Award nominated American actress. She is well known for her role as Lynette Scavo, the hectic busy Super-Mom on the ABC hit show Desperate Housewives which debuted in 2004, and for which Huffman won an Emmy Award. , close; she's finally out of the Oscar hunt, and so de-glammed, dressed in black jacket and slacks.

``She handled all of this pressure amazingly well and she'ss got such grace during these interviews,'' he said. ``I just loved what she did.

``But I'm glad it is all over, and I hope that her next movie is not nearly so good. ``I can't go through that again!''

No worries - this time it's Macy'>s turn for the spotlight, giving a great turn as a rabid anti-smoking senator in the new comedy. Leading man Aaron Eckhart missed the bash (shooting a film in New York New York, state, United States

Rachel Bilson Rachel Sarah Bilson (born August 25 1981)[1] is an American actress. After growing up in a California show business family, she made her television debut in 2003 and subsequently became well-known for playing Summer Roberts on the prime time dramedy series The O.C. . Fellow cast member Sam Elliott had wife Katharine Ross by his side, as did writer-director Jason Reitman Jason Reitman (born October 19 1977) is a Canadian-born actor, writer, producer and director. He is married to Michele Lee,[1] with whom he co-wrote the 2004 comedic short "Consent."[2] His father is director Ivan Reitman. . He brought his proud parents, too; seems comic talent runs in the family, as his pop is director Ivan Reitman of ``Ghost Busters'' fame.

No sign of power couple Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, however, despite Holmes' starring role in the flick. Rumor is that Cruise got an explicit sex scene excised from the film, but the movie we saw still has a very steamy moments featuring the future Mrs. Cruise. Other famous names turned out, too, including Sir Ben Kingsley, director Baz Luhrmann, Selma Blair with hubby Ahmet Zappa, and Kristin Cavalleri, whose latest claim to fame is being linked with Nick Lachey. And the biggest irony of the night? Smokers had to shiver outside in the chill in order to get their fix; only candy cigarettes were allowed inside.

STAR CONCOCTION: Some Hollywood stars are burning the candle at both ends.

No, they're not out late, dancing on tables and fighting with their Greek boyfriends at hot Hollywood clubs or Elton John's Oscar party. Well, maybe one is. But the rest are lighting up Lotion Glow candles, a hot new line of all-natural soy candles said to sooth sooth   Archaic

Mischa Barton, Sandra Oh, Adrian Grenier, Evangeline Lily, Maggie Grace and Ellen DeGeneres picked theirs up at the last Emmy Awards. Charlize Theron, Teri Hatcher, Nicole Kidman, Marcia Cross and Halle Berry got theirs in their Screen Actors Guild gift bags in late January. And "Thank You For Smoking" star Aaron Eckhart, Terrence Howard, Daryl Hannah, Jessica Biel and Tommy Lee snagged Lotion Glow candles at Self Magazine's Luxury Suite during the Sundance Film Festival.

Why the fiery enthusiasm? Candles made from biodegradable soy not only burn cleaner than traditional paraffin but also quickly melt to produce a warm silky liquid. Blow out the flame, dip a finger (or the handy plastic spoon) into the melted soy puddle and massage it on hands, feet and face to moisturize and scent your skin.

But doesn't it burn, like hot wax? Nope. That would be too painful.
